Jardova mapa
- UI/UX design
A redesign of an already functional and brilliant app that makes heading to the mountains and planning trips easier. I love the mountains, so this project was pure joy for me.
Visit website
A working website that needed a face.
Jarda got in touch after I replied to his post saying they needed help with their website. My task was to make what they had more visually appealing. At the very first meeting, where I met Jarda, one of my favourite influencers, and Martin for the first time, I knew this project was made for me. My head was full of ideas from the start, and I left the meeting thrilled about the project I’d landed.
Story first, map second.
The features were set, so I focused on how the website feels.
Colours, typography, copywriting.
I decided to add a landing page, reached for the yellow of autumn larches, chose a new typeface and built the visuals on Jarda’s beautiful mountain photos, with contour lines woven in here and there.
-
Starting point
The original website as the base. The features stayed, the look changed.
-
Colours
Instead of purple, the golden ochre of autumn larches and muted neutrals.
-
Elements
Jarda’s photos as the main visual, plus contour lines and friendly copywriting.
-
Collaboration
Everything discussed with Martin so the design could go straight into development.
The mountains take centre stage.
The website opens with a landing page, not a map. Right there is a claim that is almost a mission for Jarda:
“I won’t tell you where to go, but I’ll show you what’s out there to experience.”
Unlike most influencers, Jarda doesn’t tell you where to go. He wants to pass on an idea and the inspiration to enjoy the mountains your own way. On the map you’ll find his insights, experiences and tips, and you can plan a trip that suits you above all.
